Product description : Wooden ship model: La Flore
Historical wooden boat model: La Flore Completed in 1757, La Flore took part in the battle of the bay of Quiberon 2 years later. Captured by HMS Unicorn, she joined the Royal Navy under the name HMS Flora. The British sank it themselves in 1778 to avoid its capture. Refloated by the Americans, she was sold to the French navy after the War of Independence, then captured again by the English in 1798. Finally, the ship was sold as scrap.
