Product description : Wooden ship model : Viking Longship

This model is a Viking ship also called Skudelev 2 according to the place of its discovery. The original was built mainly of oak around 1060 in Dublin, Ireland. 

The ship was 30 m long and 3.8 m wide. Between 60 and 100 Viking warriors could sail it. The ship had a large square canvas and 60 oars. 

The model box contains all laser-cut wooden parts, wooden, metal and plastic fittings (depending on the model), fabric for the sails, plans and building instructions.
