The 105mm Howitzer M2A1 also referred to as M101 is a 105mm caliber howitzer that was used on all fronts of the US Army throughout World War II. Classic and robust design, its only flaw was its heavy weight. However, it was easy to transport, very precise and extremely reliable and robust: the M2A1 is still used in some armies, including NATO, more than 50 years after production ceased.
