Discover the Côtre ship 1815 Faucon from Soclaine.

The cutter is a ship of English origin where it is called "CUTTER". The cutters were used in cabotage, piloting, by privateers and especially smugglers, the famous "smuglers" in the 19th century. Despite everything appreciated by French sailors, mainly in the sleeve, this small vessel required significantly less crew than a lugger. If some made long voyages, their assignment was mainly to defend the connections between the various ports. The FALCON armed with 14 guns was the type of war cutter from 1800 to 1815.
