Char US T26E4 Super Pershing - Pré-production Les premiers essais sur le Pershing M26 ont débuté en 1942. Il avait vocation à remplacer le célèbre M4 Sherman, vedette des chars américains durant le conflit. 300 unités furent envoyées en Europe en Janvier 1944, mais seulement 20 prirent réellement part aux combats, où elles s'avérèrent capables de vaincre leurs adversaires désignés, les chars allemands Panther et Tiger. Toutefois, le Pershing M26 n'était pas de taille à affronter le redoutable King Tiger. D'où l'idée de créer un "Super Pershing", baptisé T26E4 et armé d'un puissant canon T15E2 90mm. Au final, ce char ne vit jamais les champs de bataille, l'armistice ayant été entretemps signée. Seulement 25 unités étaient sorties des usines quand la production fut interrompue.
