Product description : Ship model: Japanese battleship Yamato

This 1/350 model (Length 73 cm at the waterline) reproduces the legendary Japanese battleship Yamato in the configuration of its last mission. She was sunk on April 7, 1945 at 2:20 p.m., 200 km off Okinawa. The kit has nothing in common with the kit ref 78014 initially released in 1979. It has benefited from the very latest technological advances in design and molding. Possibility of full hull presentation (on sedan provided) or waterline (waterline) on diorama. Forms of the bow, sides and stern reproduced to perfection. Assembly of the shell elements by screws ensuring great robustness. Fixing of the main deck on the hull by screws. 90% of the details of the main deck and superstructures are added elements for greater realism and to facilitate paints. The main turrets are mobile and their base below the level of the bridge is reproduced. The sleeves at the base of the tubes of the main turret guns are made of white elastomer, as are the representations of the sandbags protecting the anti-aircraft positions. The tubes of the guns of the main turrets can be presented raised by 3 ° or 30 ° thanks to the assembly on nylon rings. Secondary turret rotation and elevation as well as 12.7mm and 25mm AA mountings are possible. The mast elements are molded in ABS for greater strength. Photo-cut ladders, radar antennas and cranes. Metal propeller shafts. Rudders mounted on nylon bushings (movable) Aerial park (seaplanes) and drome (annex boats) fully reproduced in great detail. Stern hangar doors open or closed. Documentation (in French) provided on the construction, technical details and operational career of the Yamato as well as life aboard Imperial Japanese Navy ships, and the Yamato in particular. Full color decoration guide. 2012 calendar with illustration of the box cover included. technical details and operational career of the Yamato as well as life aboard Imperial Japanese Navy ships, and the Yamato in particular.
