Soviet M1944 (BS-3) 100mm Anti-tank gun model kit - Trumpeter

Wingspan: 5.9 cm. Number of rooms: 210+. The 100mm M1944 BS-3 gun was a Soviet-made anti-tank gun. The production of this anti-tank gun began on a limited basis in May 1944. In January 1945, only 185 parts were allocated and 591 were in service in May 1945. This gun was used by the anti-tank artillery brigades of the armored armies and by artillery corps. He was capable of destroying any contemporary tank at long range. This versatile gun could also be used as a field artillery piece. In this role, it was less powerful than the 122 mm A-19 gun. Of a lower caliber, it was however more maneuverable and had a higher rate of fire. It has been sold to many other satellite countries where it is still in service today. It remained in service until the 1950s before being replaced by the T-12 and D-48 85mm anti-tank guns in 1955. Some BS-3s are still stored in the arsenals of the Russian army. 12 BS-3s are still in staffing within the 18th Artillery Division stationed in the Kuril Islands where they are used as coastal defense and anti-landing pieces.
